Terms and Conditions



Peeters’ order department takes care of all orders and subscriptions.
Please do not hesitate to contact the department if you would like to order a book or journal issue or subscribe to a journal or book series, or if there are problems with the delivery of ordered publications.
We advise to order publications via our website, as this will ease our work and allow us to help you in a better way.

Postage costs/online payment


We will charge you for postage and handling depending on your location and type of order. For online orders postage will be calculated automatically at the moment of ordering.
Online payment is possible for the following countries:

Peeters reserves the right to send a pro-forma invoice for online orders originating from other countries.

Dispatch times


If the ordered publication is in stock it will be delivered within 5 working days for destinations within Belgium, c. 10 working days within the European Union, minimum 14 working days in the rest of the world.
Please note that we cannot guarantee the stock availability of any order; the delivery of some items may take longer than quoted.

Claims


For problems with invoices or claims against titles which have already been invoiced, please always mention invoice number, date and your customer number.
Damaged/defective shipments: claims must be made within 14 days after receipt of the shipment.

Returns


Returns can only be accepted under the following conditions:

  • All orders received without further classification are supplied strictly on a firm order basis.
  • No right of return is grantable on firm orders with the exception of titles supplied in error.
  • Sale or return (and selective standing order) facilities are negotiable and subject to prior arrangement.
  • Agreed facilities are subject to a maximum 6 month right of return.
  • Return permission (i.e. return request) is required including full invoice number and date, author, title, list price discount, net price and reason of return.
  • Returns must be securely packed and remain the property and responsibility of the customer until receipt in our warehouse. Books must be received in a mint, resalable condition in the unopened plastic foil around the book.
  • Peeters reserves the right to refuse credit or returns received in an unsatisfactory condition (i.e. damaged, pencilled prices, sticker remains, etc.). Customers will be informed of these unaccepted returns.
  • Returns are shipped to Peeters at the customer’s own expense.
  • No postage credit will be issued, unless reason for return is due to Peeters’ error.

Series


Booksellers, librarians or individuals may have a continuation order for titles in series. A full listing of each series is available on request from the Peeters Order Department or on our website https://www.peeters-leuven.be
